Hello and welcome to the American Legion Auxiliary Illini Girls State website.  This is a very exciting year for us.  We will be celebrating our Diamond Anniversary!  75 years of working with youth around the state to teach them about government and providing them with an opportunity to enrich their writing, debating, and voting knowledge.  Please browse the website and see what a great program we provide.  Please visit the site frequently to see the completed sections.  I look forward to seeing many young ladies at our program this year.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by e-mail or telephone.  Enjoy and I hope to see you June 21, 2015!

With this website high school counselors, teachers, and principals will see the advantages of promoting this program.  Along with the experience of a lifetime for the girls, it also provides them with information about our government, patriotism, and how to move forward as a young adult.

The cost for a girl to attend is $250. This fee is paid by the sponsoring American Legion Auxiliary Unit or a local business or other organizations.  You will be able to start the application process by clicking on the forms tab under Unit information.

Important: On many college applications, under high school activities, you will find Girls State.  Attending our program is a step up for students applying for college.  The American Legion Auxiliary also offers 3 scholarship opportunities for girls attending Illini Girls State.  Click on the Scholarships Tab for more information and applications.

This website is for the applicant and their parents to help them get acquainted with our program and to obtain necessary forms to be completed.
